Mr. Thompson, Can You Come Outside For a Moment Please

Got a funny little story for you. Ethan and John love airsoft guns. I think they are like bb guns. Something like that. I do not like them because they look so real. Ethan has a couple. One that is long and one that is short like a pistol. He was playing with the small one outside today and put it on the bumper of John's truck to do something else for a moment. And I'm sure you can guess that he did not go back for it. Totally forgot! Even though he loves it so. Anyway.....John, John, and Ethan went to the Junior High for an FFA awards banquet tonight. I hate it when we have to separate. I had to take Emily to a dance recital. OK, back to the story. In the middle of the banquet, a woman came over to the table where John, John, and Ethan were sitting and asked John to come outside. Puzzled, John followed the woman outside. When he got outside there was a fire department car behind his truck, blocking it. A police car was there and a policeman was waiting for John at his truck. John thought someone had hit his truck. When he got to the truck, the policeman produced the airsoft gun that had been on the bumper and asked if it was John's. I wish I coulda been there to see him roll his eyes when he saw it. Yes, I do. Someone had seen the gun on the bumper and called the police. So, with a laugh, they all went back inside and enjoyed the rest of the banquet. Thank goodness! I hate those guns. They may just disappear! I can't believe it didn't fall off the bumper on the way over to the junior high. Just think, it could be laying in a ditch on the side of the road somewhere instead of me having to say--I hate that dumb thing, one of these days, I'm gonna throw it away. OK, so the fire department car was parked behind John so he couldn't hop in his truck and run away. Hilarious!! Better safe than sorry, I guess. Ethan, you're such a trouble maker! Good thing you're cute!
